Glass of wine on a tableStop Drinking Alcohol

Alcohol is very popular. Most people like a tipple. People have been drinking for many, many hundreds of years. It’s a common thing in our society and our culture, and because it’s so widely accepted, people don’t really understand the dangers of alcohol. First and foremost, it’s highly addictive, and many people can fall into the trap of what was just a little drink every now and again becomes a regular thing, and before they know it, they’re drinking most days, if not every day. So if you’re one of those people that are looking to eradicate drinking, then hypnosis can help you.

But I’ll be quite honest, undergoing hypnosis is best if you really want to cut out drinking altogether. If instead you’re saying that rather than having a few drinks, you just have want a couple of drinks each time, then hypnosis may help you achieve this in the short term, but sooner or later you are likely to go back to the regular few drinks. As I pointed out before, alcohol is very addictive. One drink leads to another drink and whilst you’re in this intoxicated state, then hypnosis is not going to really be able to kick in as effectively. So it works best when people want to eliminate alcohol from their lives.

Now one proviso here is, if that you are a heavy drinker, one who drinks every day, one that would consider themselves an alcoholic that feels that they have to drink each day just to really get through then, even though hypnosis could help you stop, It’s unwise for you to stop without seeking proper medical attention beforehand. This is because you could suffer quite severe withdrawal symptoms, and therefore it is best that you have a managed medical programme to deal with these issues so that you can then stop altogether.

But for those who are having a couple of beers each night or a few glasses of wine and just want to get rid of it from their lives, then hypnosis can certainly help you stop. You can also help yourself by first thinking about what it is that you get from the alcohol. Is it a social thing for you? It helps you get to sleep? It helps you relax? Or is it a reward to yourself after a hard days’ work? You do it because your partner does? Or something else?

Simply by eliminating alcohol from your life, without first realising what you get from drinking may make it more difficult for you to stop, or you find that you drift back to the booze, as for example you miss the social side of going to the pub or club. So by getting an understanding of why you drink and what you get from it, then you can plan to still get the benefits of drinking in your alcohol free future. So nowadays, there are a lot more variety of non-alcoholic beers and wine which you can enjoy in a social setting, such as a pub. So if your benefit is the social side, then you can still plan to still have that but without the alcohol. So you’re finding something else to do, or something better to do, or something similar to do, but it doesn’t avoid it doesn’t involve the alcohol. Or is it just, it’s just become a habit, or is it just because that you’ve got you fixed in your mind there that you can’t go to sleep without having a drink beforehand, then hypnosis can get you to change your way of thinking.

And the good thing about alcohol is that literally, within four or five days max, then you are effectively someone who no longer drinks any after effects or slight side effects from stopping the alcohol will have disappeared.

So if you feel as if you wish to take that step now to remove alcohol from your life, then please get in touch.
